CMA Two-Million Munitions

On October 5, 2009, CMA destroyed its two millionth munition since Entry-Into-Force of the CWC. This achievement is testimony to the expertise and commitment of its work force. CMA reached the one millionth munition destroyed in 2001.

On Thursday, Oct. 29, 2009, CMA acknowledged this destruction by hosting an all-day event involving former principals and leaders. These individuals, along with current leadership, attended a morning session, which included discussions about the expertise of the past with the direction and path forward of the current organization. The morning session was followed by an informal open house where prior and current employees gathered to mark the occasion and share in past, present and future accomplishments.
